A 38-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a hit and run in Kirkintilloch last month.
He has also been charged with culpable and reckless conduct in connection with the incident at Braehead Street on August 24.
Another man (37) was seriously injured after being struck by a silver saloon car. He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where his condition was described as serious but stable.
A police spokesman at Kirkintilloch said this morning: “A 38-year-old man has now been arrested and is being held in custody charged with culpable and reckless conduct and attempted murder.”
