Marie Curie Hospice set to host summer fundraising event

The annual summer fair at the Marie Curie Hospice at Stobhill is promising to be bigger and better than ever this year.

The fundraising event takes place on Saturday, May 31 at the hospice on Balornock Road.

There will be home baking, tombola, raffles, pampering sessions, gift stalls, cupcakes and candy, police cars, a tiki bar, BBQ, pony rides and a bouncy castle for the kids.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of Marie Curie having a hospice in Glasgow.

Shona Robinson, hospice manager, said; ‘Our Christmas Fair raised an incredible £6,000 and we would love to see if we can beat that.

“We’re hoping for sunshine and have loads of activities to suit all the family, and plenty of bargains. We can’t provide the support and care we do without the support of the public.”

Nicola O’Neill, Marie Curie nurse, said; ‘Our Summer Fair will put the fun into fundraising. We receive tremendous support from the local area and hope to give everyone a day to remember.
