Local residents are being invited to come along to the next meeting of Bishopbriggs Community Council at 7pm on Tuesday, October 21, at Bishopbriggs Library.

Community councillors will be discussing plans for the new Woodhill Primary School, concerns over water quality in Bishopbriggs Burn and also new powers that could see homes in the town being fracked under.

Before the summer community council representatives from across East Dunbartonshire met in Bishopbriggs to hear the fight against fracking being fought by locals near Falkirk. Recent announcements from Westminster have indicated that other areas could be affected.
