Lights, leaves, trees and magical memories - Mugdock Country Park hosted a Christmas celebration with a difference recently.
The popular park was transformed into a festive wonderland with a range of attractions - including children’s rides, local choir, face-painting, arts and crafts, late-night shopping and a visit from Santa.
Councillor Eric Gotts, Chair of Mugdock Country Park Joint Management Committee, switched on the Christmas lights.
He said: “It was a terrific event and many families - from all over East Dunbartonshire and beyond - turned out in large numbers despite the chilly weather.
“I would encourage everyone to visit Mugdock Park - before and after Christmas. This is a particularly beautiful time and there is a superb range of leisure, conservation, retail and cultural activities on offer.”
In addition, the ‘Friends of Mugdock’ scheme was launched.
Becoming a member will help to support the park in future developments and also provide the card holder with exclusive benefits within all the businesses.
Donation posts have also been installed to help raise valuable funds.
Meanwhile, a few tickets are still available for this year’s pantomime - Jack and the Beanstalk - but don’t delay as they are selling fast.
