Milngavie and Bearsden residents will benefit from a new late evening train service from Glasgow Central station from this month.
An extra train will depart from Glasgow Central at 11.37pm and arrive in Milngavie at 12.01am from Monday to Saturday.
This train will arrive at Westerton at 11.53pm, Bearsden at 11.56pm and Hillfoot at 11.58pm en route to Milngavie.
This will offer customers a later train from Mondays to Thursdays and on Saturdays, and will fill the gap between the current last trains on Fridays.
There will be another timetable change from August 8, when Queen Street High Level tunnel re-opens, will see new station calls on the route from Milngavie to Edinburgh.
These changes will only affect the journey beyond Glasgow city.
A ScotRail Alliance spokesperson said: “We’re delighted to introduce a later train from Glasgow Central to Milngavie, allowing residents more time in the city at night.
“And, by changing the station calls on the Milngavie to Edinburgh route, we hope to provide a more reliable service that meets customer demand.
“We’re encouraging passengers to check if their journey is affected online or via the ScotRail app, selecting a date from August 8.”
