Opticians begin work on store revamp


Specsavers is set to undergo a transformation into a high tech “optical facility” allowing 100 extra eye examinations each week.

The store, at 32-33 Cowgate in Kirkinitlloch, has already began making improvements and it is hoped the new and improved unit will be completed by Saturday, June 13, with a special launch day to celebrate.

Renovations will include a installing a cutting edge new way of selecting and fitting customers’ glasses, using imaging software on tablet devices.

Neil Drain, director of Specsavers in Kirkintilloch, says: ‘The refurbishment of the store has been a long time in the planning and we are thrilled that it’s now underway.

‘This investment represents our long term commitment to delivering great service to all our existing and new customers.’

Changes to the layout of the store will also be made.
