Battlefield Rest provides Italian treat for hospital staff

Earlier this week, the hospital’s accident and emergency department received a special delivery of Italian goods – fine sliced meats, cheeses, grissini, cakes, juices and pastries – courtesy of the Battlefield Rest.

Marco Giannasi, who opened an Italian bistro in the former tram stop building in 1994, said: “It was a thank you for all the hard and indispensable work they are doing for all of us.

“I wanted to contribute in some way to those very special people.”
