Two local teams got off to a winning start to 2016 with victories on Saturday.

Lenzie adged past Oban 25-19 in an exciting match that went to the wire.

And Allan Glen’s withstood a determined fightback from a never-say-die Cambuslang side to triumph 25-17.

The two sides will be meeting in the second derby of the season at the Bearyards on Saturday.
