Police aim to bore in on tool thieves in Bishopbriggs

CROOKS escaped with drills after two vehicles parked on the same road were targeted last week.

A pair of drills worth £400 were stolen from a Renault Kangoo van on Coltmuir Drive, Bishopbriggs, overnight between Sunday, November 4, and the next morning.

There was also an unsuccessful attempt to force entry to a Mitsubishi pick-up truck parked nearby between Saturday, November 3, and Monday, November 6.

Anybody with information is asked to contact police on 0141 532 4400.

Meanwhile, two 16-year-old boys were charged with drugs offences on Friday evening (November 2).

A teenager was allegedly caught with cannabis in Brackenbrae Avenue, Bishopbriggs, at around 7pm.

In a separate incident another 16-year-old was charged with possession of cannabis in Myrtle Avenue, Lenzie at around 8.10pm.

* A teenager has been charged with drinking in public and causing a public disturbance.

The 16-year-old boy was stopped by police at around 9.35pm on Friday, November 2, in Canal Street, Kirkintilloch.
