Police looking for man in connection with Springburn attack

Police have released the image of a man they believe may be able to help them in connection with a serious assault in the Springburn area.

The incident occurred at Avonspark Street between 3.30am and 7am on Sunday, August 6.

Officers are appealing for the man to come forward or members of the public who recognise him to get in touch.

The man is described a white, 22-28 years old, 5ft7 to 5ft8 tall, auburn short hair and a beard.

He spoke with an English accent. He was seen earlier in the evening in Glasgow City Centre, including in the Garage Nightclub. At this time he was wearing dark trousers and a grey t-shirt.

Detective Inspector Dougie McKinlay and Detective Constable Hazel McColl are appealing to anyone who may be able to assist with police enquiries to contact police officers at Helen Street Police Office via 101.
