A CRACKDOWN on gang fighting in Bishopbriggs saw a mobile police unit set-up in the area.

It’s been reported that a teenage boy was stabbed during an alleged attack in Auchinairn on Monday, November 5.

Police said the van was brought in because the area is a hotspot for anti-social behaviour and to try and stop disturbances.

There have previously been calls for CCTV on the corner of Auchinairn Road and Beech Road. A concerned resident said: “Gang fighting has been a problem there for years.”
