Police are appealing for help in tracing a 15 year-old Bishopbriggs girl who has gone missing.

Megan Fanning from St Mary’s Road in the town, was last seen carrying her pet rabbit near to the Balgrayhill Road entrance to Springburn Park, Glasgow, about noon on Wednesday September 24, 2014.

She is described as around 5ft 2 inches in height, of medium build with long brown hair and blue eyes. When she was last seen she was wearing a black leather jacket with black crop top, dark grey leggings and fawn high heeled boots, and had her rabbit.

Inspector Iain Greene from Kirkintilloch Police Office, said today: “Megan is from the north side of the city, however, is known to frequent the city centre, particularly around Argyle Street and Union St, as well as the south side of Glasgow where she has friends.

“From enquiries we believe she may be in the Pollokshields area of the city.

“She has been in contact with her family since she went missing. However, there is concern for her welfare.

“I would urge anyone with any information on Megan’s whereabouts to contact Kirkintilloch Police Office on 101.

“I would also ask Megan to contact Police Scotland or a friend to let us know that she is safe.”
