A POCKMARKED road is to get repaired – but not until April at the earliest.

Part of Westerhill Road, in Bishopbriggs, comes under East Dunbartonshire and the other section falls within North Lanarkshire.

Repairs have been carried out on the East Dunbartonshire section of the road, but the stretch between the Aviva Insurance building and Wester Cleddens Road, which comes under North Lanarkshire, has not been touched.

Bishopbriggs Community Council recently called on North Lanarkshire Council to repair the damaged road before winter sets in.

North Lanarkshire Council has confirmed that the road will be dealt with in the 2012/13 financial year.
