A group of p5-7 pupils at Meadowburn Primary school in Bishopbriggs have made 100 clay poppies to commemorate the start of the First World War.

Former art teacher Christina McGonigle returned to the school to help the pupils create the poppies, similar to those at the Tower of London.

They will be on display outside the school for as long as they can withstand the Scottish weather.
