HARDY house hunters queued up for two nights to be first in line for new homes in Bishopbriggs.

Allan Agnew braved the bad weather to bag first choice of home at a new development in the area.

Allan, from Bishopbriggs, spent two nights in his car to be first in line for the release of properties at Dawn Homes’ Villafield estate.

Second in line was Paul Parkes, from Bishopbriggs, who also spent two nights outside the sales centre.

Lyzanne Graham, sales and marketing manager at Dawn Homes, says: “Although there has been a good level of interest in Villafield since we unveiled our plans to build here earlier in the year, even we were taken aback by the swell of interest in the sales centre opening.

“On the day of the launch, we had a constant stream of visitors, including our campers – who were all in great spirits, so much so that we secured an impressive nine sales.”

Located off Kirkintilloch Road, Villafield will boast 36 four and five-bedroom detached homes.

Lyzanne said: “Several of the purchasers were those wanting to upsize, which until the development launched they felt they didn’t have the opportunity to do.”

The development includes pathways and landscaping designed to create a child-friendly environment.
