Quiz night in aid '¨of cancer research

It is hoped local people will turn out in force to support the fun night being held as part of the annual “Stand Up To Cancer” campaign.

The event takes place at Ellangowan Social Club at 9 Douglas Street from 7-11pm.

Entry price is £5 per person and includes a delicious cold buffet.

Tickets are available from the Cancer Research charity shop in the village.

A volunteer from the charity said: “Here’s your chance to test your general knowledge, have an 
entertaining night and raise funds for a very worthwhile cause.

“We invite teams to take part. It promises to be a great night. There is a licensed bar at the event and a delicious buffet will be served.”
