Communities joined together on Remembrance Sunday to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in conflicts around the world defending their country.
Services took place in churches across East Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire and beyond.
This year Remembrance Sunday had particular significance as it marked 100 years since Britain entered World War One and 70 years since the D-Day Landings.
Across the district towns and villages marked the poignant occasion. In Kirkintilloch a Walk of Remembrance took place through the town from St David’s Memorial Park Church to the Peel Park gates, where wreaths were laid.
In Bishopbriggs a service was held at the cenotaph in the town centre. Meanwhile, crowds gathered at the memorial gates in Lennoxtown to pay their respects.
