Road incidents in Motherwell

There was major congestion in Motherwell this afternoon (Wednesday) following two separate road incidents.

Traffic was held up on Windmillhill Street heading towards Wishaw as police cleared up after a crash between a Renault and a BMW opposite the Rainforest Nursery at 1.25pm.

The drivers were treated for minor injuries, with one complaining of a sore head.

Vehicles were also finding the going tricky at the Asda Roundabout ten minutes later with a delivery van partially blocking the left lane onto West Hamilton Street.

It appears it was involved in an incident with a car on Mason Street, insurance details were exchanged and the police were not involved.

Inquries are also currently ongoing into a crash on Muir Street between a red van and a white car, both Vauxhalls, about 2.35pm.
