A site manager based in East Dunbartonshire has been shortlisted for the National House Building Council’s (NHBC) annual Health and Safety Award.
Alan Murphy, of Dawn Homes, is one of 61 site managers from across the UK that have been commended in the first round of judging for his management of Villafield in Bishopbriggs.
He will now go on to compete for the Highly Commended, Runner up and National Award to be announced at a gala event on July 8.
All of the competing sites were visited by NHBC Health and Safety advisors and scored to stringent standards.
Tom Kitchen, NHBC Health and Safety Operations Manager, said: “Congratulations to Alan on achieving this NHBC Health and Safety Commended Award.
“It’s been a fantastic year with a record number of entries; we had an outstanding shortlist of finalists this year, strengthening the importance given to health and safety on house-building sites across the UK.
