More than 90 per cent of council tenents at a recent conference told chiefs they were satisfied with the say they get on housing.
At North Lanarkshire Council’s Annual Tenants’ Conference, which brought together staff, tenants and partner agenies, 92 per cent of attendees were “very” or “fairly” satisfied with the opportunities given to participate in decision making processes.
Duncan MacKay, executive director of housing and social work services, said: “Our priority is to have more informed and involved tenants who participate in developing and improving Housing Services.
“This helps us to ensure we’re delivering on the key priorities which are important to them.”
Councillor Sullivan, Vice Convener of Housing and Social Work Services added: “I was delighted to be involved in another successful conference. I would like to thank everyone who attended, and in particular extend my thanks to Saltire and Mears for generously sponsoring the event once again.”
