Totally hired - apprentices about to fall into jobs

A dazzling dozen who joined East Dunbartonshire Council as Modern Apprentices have received glowing reports as they continue their journey into the world of work.

Twelve young people from across East Dunbartonshire joined the authority last August and embarked on a two-year programme of training, work experience and study.

The last nine months have been a huge success for all 12, who have all excelled.Once they have completed their SVQ they will be eligible to apply for permanent posts within the council.

The Modern Apprentices were all praised for their hard work, dedication and endeavour when they met council leader Rhondda Geekie to help celebrate Scottish Apprenticeship Week, which runs until May 23.
