Click on the video above to watch this dramatic footage of a stolen car ploughing at high speed into the home of a Bishopbriggs family.
Alison Timoney was sitting watching TV just a few feet away from the car which crashed through her hedge, somersaulted and landed on its roof just inches from her front window. The window later smashed under the pressure.
Alison of Menteith Avenue, told the Herald: “I was just sitting watching TV and the next minute I thought a bomb had gone off. We were told the car must have been going at about 80mph in a 30mph zone.
“My husband was in another room at the time and we were lucky not to be killed or injured.”
Yesterday we reported on the family’s lucky escape after the terrifying accident late on Friday evening.
