A crafty local group made the trip down to the Christmas Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham recently.
After getting a tremendous reception at a craft event at Glasgow’s SECC in October Creative Care, based in Bishopbriggs’ Brackenbrae House, were invited down south to demonstrate their unique 3d decoupage feathering technique - which helps create three dimensional pictures using just paper.
A spokesperson said: “All day in Birmingham the cry was: ‘It’s just amazing’. Around 40,000 people visited the show and many promised to stopover at Bishopbriggs on their way north.”
The group are now preparing Brackenbrae House for its famous Victorian Christmas celebrations which take place the last weekend in November and the first weekend in December from 10am to 5pm. Mr and Mrs Claus will be inviting children of all ages to join them for crafts, carols and refreshments.
