Win should be a snip for Rachael
Rachael Pye (26), who runs her own mobile hairdressing business covering East Renfrewshire and East Kibride, has been shortlisted in the Freelance Hair Specialist category.
Rachael also made it to the finals in the same category last year, and this time around she’s hoping to take gold.

“What makes it all that more special is that it is my customers that have nominated me.”
Rachael started her hairdressing career in her teens with a Saturday job at 15 before working full time and studying at college.
She branched out on her own in 2012 setting up Rachael’s Mobile Hairdressing.

“But now it’s great. You set your own hours and you get to know your customers better. You end up meeting their family and you get to know them on a much more personal level.”
And Racheal is looking forward to the awards finals which takes place on Sunday in Glasgow.
She said: “I’m going with my boyfriend, my mum and her boyfriend. I’m really looking forward to it, I’m sure that it will be a great night – and fingers crossed I win this time!”
