Witnesses sought after horror Milton of Campsie accident

Police officers are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious road crash in Milton of Campsie on Tuesday morning (June 25).

At about 8.50am, a 93-year-old man sustained a serious leg injury after being hit by a car on on Redmoss Road.

He was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment where medical staff described his condition as serious but stable.

The 49 year old woman, who was driving the Ford Fiesta, was not injured but was treated for shock at the scene.

Constable Graeme Easton, of the Road Policing Complex at Helen Street, has asked for anybody who saw the accident to call him on 101.
