Councillor Alan Moir, convener of development and regeneration, said: “This is a vital time for our town centres and if we are to ensure their long-term viability and vitality then we need as many people as possible to get involved.

“We would like to hear from residents, businesses, groups and anyone with a keen interest in shaping local town centres.

“The workshops and survey will provide us with a good platform to take forward strategies for each of the town centres, which we are aiming to publish as drafts next year.

“The plans will set out a positive, long-term vision for each town centre and specific future actions.

“I would encourage everyone with an interest in Bearsden, Bishopbriggs and Milngavie town centres to complete the online survey and to take part in the workshops if they have time.”

The council will also be engaging with town centre partners and other relevant groups as part of the preparation of each strategy.

In the first instance, the focus is on Bearsden, Bishopbriggs and Milngavie as Kirkintilloch has an on-going Master-plan.
