A teenager has been charged with two counts of robbery after an incident at a bonfire display in Bishopbriggs two weeks ago.

The 17-year-old youth was arrested after several 14-16 year-old schoolboys allegedly had their iPhones stolen in a field at Kenmure Avenue.

The incident happened during the organised display on Guy Fawkes night, Wednesday, November 5.
A police spokesman at Kirkintilloch said the youth was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court this week.
