The Christmas Fayre is on at the park this Friday (November 27) from 5pm to 9pm - featuring Santa’s grotto, food and drink, market stalls selling a variety of gifts from a range of local businesses, children’s rides, half-hour archery sessions (booking required, please phone the park on 0141 956 6100), carol singers, dancing and music, arts and crafts, mulled wine, hot chestnuts, freshly baked donuts, mince pies and refreshments and last, but certainly not least, the big Christmas lights switch-on at 6pm.

Christmas trees will be available from Caulders Garden Centre at the park from this Saturday, November 21.

On the same day the film ‘Nativity’ is on at the children’s cinema from 11am to 12.30pm.

The following day (Sunday, November 22) Mugdock Makkers, a group of local craftspeople, will be at the park to demonstrate their skills and let people have a go themselves - from 12.30pm to 4pm.

Councillor Eric Gotts, Chair of Mugdock Country Park Joint Management Committee, said: “Christmas is just over four weeks away and preparations are already well underway to celebrate the festive season in style at Mugdock.

“I will be helping to switch on the Christmas lights at the event on November 27 and there will be great fun for all the family - focused on the courtyard area, but also including businesses such as Caulders and the Mugdock Makkers.”

Also don’t miss the chance to have a ball with the Mugdock pantomime - ‘Cinderella’ - presented by Fizzgig Theatre.

Get into the festive spirit with the classic tale - hiss, boo, sing and have a right Fizzgiggle!

These pantos are growing in popularity each year, due not only to the brilliant performances but also the fact that there is ample free parking, the café/restaurants are open and the shows are completely child friendly.

Performances are on throughout December (afternoon and early evening).
