Rob Roy will face Arthurlie at Guys Meadow, Cumbernauld, on Saturday, in a Scottish Cup fourth round replay following last weekend’s 1-1 draw.
Manager Stewart Maxwell said his squad had been the better side and felt a penalty decision against them just before half-time was ‘dubious’.
Maxwell said: “We were the better side in what was an entertaining game played in good spirit. Paul Finnigan scored after 30 minutes, but just before half-time Chris Dallas equalised after what was in my opinion a dubious penalty.”
The gaffer admitted he was disappointed not to come away with the win, but said that he was very pleased with the way his team had performed on the day, adding: “We had more of the chances and looked the better side.”
Looking ahead to the replay at Cumbernauld, Maxwell said it would be another tough game.
He said:”It will be very, very tight and it could go either way.”
If Rob Roy win they will progress into the last 16 in the 5th round of the Cup.
The club is calling for all fans to come along and support the team.
