Rossvale boss aims to keep winning run going

Rossvale boss Gordon Moffat says parts of his side's second half showing against East Kilbride Thistle on Saturday were as good as anything he has seen from them.

The Vale boss was less enthused about their first half display in the 4-0 win.

But he admitted: “In the second half we were pretty good and I though we played some of the best stuff since I’ve been there.

“The first half I felt we were just a bit sloppy on the ball, a wee bit lethargic and playing within ourselves.

“I said to them at half-time that if we just go up a couple of gears we can take the game away from them pretty quickly.”

East Kilbride hung in there first half and I just felt it was only 1-0 and we should have dealt with it quicker. But in the second half the boys were really good so I can’t complain.

“Including the games before I came in that’s eight wins in a row so I can’t really ask for much more from the boys.

“I was quite critical of them for the first time at half-time, but I said at the end that’s just because we need to try and keep improving and driving our standards up.

“Nobody’s going to just hand us the points in the league, there’s a lot of good teams so we need to keep earning the points.”
