The club started out back in 1988 to give local children organised football, with the Villa Park Boys Club name given as they played on the old Watsonville playing fields where Asda is now based.

As the years passed, with the Player Pathway coming into force and more females playing, the ‘Boys Club’ name was dropped and changed to ‘Football Club’.

Now boasting over 200 members, the club has over 40 volunteer coaches and players from as far afield as Clydebank, Tollcross, Shettleston, Carluke and Lanark, with age groups from 2006s down to 2012s. Many players have gone on to play at pro youth level with various Premier League clubs.

Villa Park FC has achieved the SYFA Quality Mark award at Development level, aims to reach the Legacy award and is a Disability Inclusive Club.
