WOULD-be managers are being invited to apply for the top job at Adamslie Park – gaffer of Rob Roy FC.
Football manager Frank Lynch has turned down the chance to become Rob Roy’s new boss, the Herald understands.
It is believed the former Arthurlie and Pollok gaffer has decided to remain in his current coaching role with last season’s premier league champions Beith.
Rob Roy are currently inviting applicants for the post of manager at Adamslie Park following the resignation of John Richardson and his backroom staff.
Kirkintilloch Rob Roy General Secretary Charles O’Brien told the Herald: “We have been in contact with a few top names in the junior side of it and they have also got in contact with us.
“I’ve no comment on specific names.”
Herald Sport also understands that the former Petershill manager Stevie Easton has similarly declined an approach from the Kirkintilloch club.
A combination of Lynch and Easton had also been mooted. Easton was unavailable for comment before the Herald went to press.
Ashfield manager Stevie Rankin has also been tipped as a potential target.
Rabs’ striker Craig Feroz is taking charge of the team on a game-to-game basis but the club are looking to appoint a replacement for Richardson sooner rather than later.
Applications for the position of Rob Roy manager should be made in writing and addressed to The General Secretary,Charles O’Brien, Kirkintilloch Rob Roy F.C. Adamslie Park, Glasgow Road, Kirkintilloch, Glasgow G66 5JP.
