Ladies now welcome at Pollok Golf Club
Members of a prominent Glasgow golf club have voted to admit women.
The decision was taken at a special general meeting of Pollok Golf Club on Thursday, September 24.
After members voted to change the club’s constitution to admit lady members and junior girls up to the age of 18 for the first time, club captain Gordon Wishart said: “The vote took place following an earlier survey. I am pleased to announce that the membership of Pollok Golf Club has voted overwhelmingly in favour of welcoming women members.”
