Lanark United and Carluke Rovers knocked out of Emirates Junior Cup
A GALE force wind and driving rain blighted Lanark United’s performance levels last Saturday, when they were rotten in a 4-0 home defeat by Perthshire minnows Kinnoull in the Emirates Junior Cup fourth round.
Rovers manager Colin Slater said: “We were 12 to one outsiders for the match but put up a very good show and matched Irvine for most of the game.
“It was great that we got a crowd of over 300 with good local support.”

Hide AdIn another fourth round clash, Carluke Rovers narrowly lost 1-0 to Premier Superleague giants Irvine Meadow, a team three divisions above them.
