A local up-and-coming fighter has been tipped to take the world of Muay Thai boxing by storm.
Jordan Cumberton (18), from Kirkintilloch, recently took part in the Power of Scotland tournament held at the Lagoon Arena, in Paisley, on Saturday.
It’s an event which has swiftly become the biggest of its kind in Scotland - with hundreds of spectators enjoying some of the sport’s biggest names.
It was the latest prestigeous event for student Jordan - who has won all six of his fights since turning professional.
Trainer Gary O’Brien said: “Jordan has huge potential and the last person I saw with his potential was Ritchie Hocking.
“Although he is still only 22-years-old, he is already Scotland’s biggest name in the sport.
“Jordan is very talented and has natural knockout power that you just can’t teach, however that isn’t why I believe he will go to the top.
“His biggest attribute is his hunger and work ethic, I often have to tell him to rest, he was even thinking about changing his university course to facilitate his training.”
