BISHOPBRIGGS Tennis Club held a family day to celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary and the award of Clubmark status.

More than 100 people turned up for this event – including members past and present – to see the progress their club has made in 2012.

Being awarded Clubmark status in such a challenging timescale was a huge achievement for Bishopbriggs and tribute is paid to all the committee who worked to achieve the distinction.

During the family day, the club’s courts were filled with mini-nets for the youngsters and throughout the day the courts were busy with minis, juniors and seniors.

The club has brought in a structured coaching programme for juniors/seniors, increased membership and met all the criteria for Clubmark status.
