Paying the penalty

QUEEN’S Park will host Peterhead tomorrow (Saturday) in a near top of the table clash.

The two sides currently sit in second and third place respectively, even on 56 points.

The winner will position themselves in second place — making them favourites to be top seed for the playoffs.

The match kicks off at 12.45pm at Hampden.

On Saturday Scott Gibson popped up to net his first goal for Queen’s — and it was enough to seal a 2-1 away victory for the Spiders at Montrose.

The downside of the afternoon was a red card for Giuseppe Capuano.

Lok crashed out of the New Coin Holdings West of Scotland Cup in the third round on penalties.

A 2-2 draw after extra time against Largs Thistle was followed by bitter disappointment when Lok went down 5-4 from the
spot.

However, last Wednesday, Pollok claimed a quarter-final berth in the Euroscot
Engineering Central League Cup with a penalty shoot-out victory against
Kirkintilloch Rob Roy at Adamslie Park.
