Plenty to celebrate for Scotia

SCOTIA Amateur Swimming Club is celebrating after members scooped a haul of medals and smashed a number of personal best times.

Sean Robertson, Christopher Garry and Eilidh Smith received ‘speeding tickets’ for swimming too fast at a recent graded meet.

Meanwhile, the Bishopbriggs club has appointed two new coach managers. Eilidh Dent and Lyndsay Cameron have been coaches at the club for five years and are both former competitive swimmers.

They aim to further develop Scotia ASC as a competitive club while maintaining the fun environment.

The continuing successes of the young swimmers has motivated Eilidh and Lyndsay to promote the club into bigger and better competitions.

Their aim is to develop the swimmers to achieve qualification times for West District and national competitions.

They also plan to have a Masters Squad running after the summer holidays. This will be open to over-18s.
