Two minutes of madness costs Allan Glens

A LOSS of concentration for two minutes cost Glens the game on a bright and breezy afternoon at the coastal town.

After 30 minutes of play Glens opened the scoring with a push over scrum and touch down by Gray.

Just before the break Irvine replied when a defensive mistake by the visitors allowed Smith to pounce on the loose ball – making a half-time score of 5-5.

Play went from end to end on the restart and indeed Glens looked to have the upper hand, but halfway through the second half the visitors seemed to lose all concentration and allowed two tries to be scored against them within a period of two minutes – one by Clark and another by Walker.

Play then returned to the status quo until just before the whistle Walker kicked a penalty for the home side.

But for that two-minute period the Bishopbriggs side could have earned at least a point from the encounter.
