New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of South Lanarkshire’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s bad news for them both.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of South Lanarkshire’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s bad news for them both.

Perfect Platter, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Blantyre Miners Welfare Club, 1 Calder Street, Blantyre, Glasgow was handed an "improvement required" rating after assessment on May 16.

And Peri Peri dot, a takeaway at 95 Union Street, Larkhall, South Lanarkshire was also given an "improvement required" classification on May 16.
